What is Direct Memory Access in hindiDMA एक ऐसी techniques होती है जिसके द्वारा data को system की ram से input output devices में without cpu के transfer किया जाता है DMA में memory से data transfer में वही time लगता है जो memory से data read and write करने में लगता है
DMA में memory operations की speed increase होती है means data transfer speed high होती है
Computer में ज्यादातर डेटा C.P.U. के द्वारा Process होता है But Computer में कुछ Data को Process करने की जरुरत नहीं होती है इस situation में DMA जो है वह प्रोसेसिंग में लगने वाले Time को save कर सकता है तथा Data को अच्छी तरीके से Computer की Memory से दूसरे Devices में Transfer कर सकता है.
यह पूरी Process एक Chip के द्वारा Manage होती है जिसे हम "DMA controller" ("DMAC") कहते है.
Working of DMA
DMA Marketing में Data Block के रुप में transfer होता है System में some data को process करने की required नहीं होती है इस condition में DMA process में लगने वाले time को बचा लेता है तथा data को fastly memory से other devices में transfer कर देता है

DMA में Two techniques से data transfer होता है जिसे DMA modes भी कहा जाता हैं ।
DMA process में जिने तरीकों का used करके data transfer किया जाता है उन्हें "DMA Modes" कहा जाता है यह two types के होते हैं
- Burst transfer mode
- Cycle Stealing transfer mode
- transparent Or hidden DMA
Burst transfer mode
यह very fast DMA transfer mode है जिसे block transfer mode कहा जाता है
इसमें two are more data bytes को continuously transfer किया जा सकता है इसमें जब तक data का full blocks transfer नहीं हो जाता तब तक data transfer को stop नहीं जा सकता है
Cycle Stealing transfer mode
Cycle stealing mode में एक समय में Data कि only एक byte transfer की जा सकती है इसे single byte transfer mode कहते हैं .
इसमें cpu only one memory cycle के लिए इसके operations को delay करता है जो एक memory cycle को "steel" करने के लिए direct memory ,input output को transfer करने को Allow करता है ।
Transparent or hidden DMA
इसमें Processor कुछ ऐसी status को execute करता है जिससे वह System Bus से अलग जाता है.
DMA जो है वह इन status के दौरान Memory and i/o Devices के मध्य Data Transfer करता है और यह Operation, Processor के लिए transparent रहती है.
यह सबसे Slow Data Transfer मोड है.
